We all remember our favorite Christmas gifts. We even recall the ones we didn’t enjoy. But has there ever been a Christmas when someone forgot to give us one?
Such is the story of Emmy (Sara Moss) in the upcoming Christmas play, The Gift That Counts.
Emmy wakes up one Christmas morning to find that while her younger sister, Hannah (Nora Valentine), is enjoying a Christmas gift, her mom (Kay Valentine) and dad (James Olsen) simply forgot to buy her one.
As Emmy tries to comprehend this bizarre occurrence, she is visited by a strange Spirit (Katia Hertneck Kitz), who attempts to teach her that the real meaning of Christmas is found in the ever-glowing love of God the Father—not in the fancy wrapping paper.
However, Emmy is headstrong and struggles to understand the clues the Spirit is giving her. Will she discover the true gift of Christmas before the day ends?
