From Our Sister Church In Turkey

Dear brothers and sisters,

Last Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday we distributed fresh food to about 100 families of earthquake victims. A colleague who lives in the same neighborhood as about 65 of these families heard about what the church had done and was moved to tears in gratitude. We have no idea how God's love can impact people.

Through the neighborhood council office and schools, we helped 35 families. Two families came to our ministry building. On Friday I went to three families in another area. The area official from the neighborhood office was very helpful, we gave out the food with him.

We value your prayer on this topic. In these last few weeks new doors opened, and we have helped with some needs. We wish to continue with these 100 families for the next year. It’s difficult to give out fresh food in the summer so maybe we could give hygiene supplies. We will give underwear aid in September. Thank you again for your generous donations that enable us to show love and kindness to these needy people in our community.

The number of visitors to our church is encouraging. We are giving New Testaments to 300 people each month. A few weeks ago, a 15-year-old girl started visiting the church on Thursdays. Last week she gave her life to Christ and brought her sister with her to the Easter service. When she comes over on Thursdays after school, we find time to talk in depth about the Bible.

Thank you do much for your invaluable prayers. Knowing that you are praying gives us strength and courage to serve God here in Bursa.

With my most sincere love,

Pastor
