ASH WEDNESDAY
The season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday on February 18. This day marks a time of reflection and preparation as we journey toward Easter.
First Baptist Scottsdale will observe Ash Wednesday with a special service in the Sanctuary at 6:30 PM.
During the service, worshipers will be invited to receive the imposition of ashes, a sign of the cross placed on the forehead. The ashes, made from palm branches from the previous Palm Sunday, serve as a reminder of our dependence on God and our call to repent and believe in the Gospel.
We invite you to join us as we begin the Lenten season together and prepare our hearts for Holy Week and Easter.
